Here is a colorful top opened 1956 flat top beer can from the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Co. in St. Louis, Missouri with a sharp top vanity lid.
I have taken pictures for your perusal to judge the can's condition.  I try to be as honest as possible with my description.  I think the white background has yellowed a bit.  Otherwise, normal aging and handling wear.
